Short MIA

Tomorrow we start our moving process, so I may not be back online until Saturday. I'm hoping to get all our things moved by Saturday evening and then unpacked before Monday. My oldest is having her birthday party on Saturday too along with Kara's oldest boy (the two of them are a day apart). I can't believe my little girl is 3! It should be a fun weekend for all of us. Anyway, I'll be back soon!

Real Estate in Arizona - PPP

Recently, my husband was out of town for business and part of his stay was in Arizona. He said he liked the atmosphere and all the opportunities that Arizona had to offer and he enjoyed his time there. Some of his coworkers even ended up moving there for their job. I agree that Arizona has so much to offer and it’s a beautiful state. I’ve had friends move to the Phoenix area and they loved it too. If you’re interested in moving there, you will naturally look at online real estate websites to help you find the right home. The Holm’s Group can help you in your real estate search in both scottsdale mountain homes or Phoenix homes. With free Arizona MLS searching and custom searching, they make it easy for you, so look them up!

Wordless Wednesday

I received this in an email awhile back and it still amazes me! I can do a classic bird and maybe a rabbit, but nothing compared to what this gentleman can do. It blows me away! I hope you enjoy it. Happy Wordless Wednesday everyone!

Grandfather Clocks

Family has always been really important to me. For those of you who read my blog regularly, you already know this. I look forward to holidays especially, because that is when we spend time with our loved ones. Even as a young girl I was almost giddy when it came time for family get-togethers. One of my favorite memories includes spending time with my grandpa. He was so sweet and kind to me and I loved being in his home. The drive was long but well worth it. I’d walk into my grandpa’s house and feel right at home. I loved his breakfast of eggs and sausage. I loved that he ate pralines n’ cream ice cream. I loved playing pool with him in the basement even though I wasn’t very good. I especially loved listening to his grandfather clock chiming in the living room. The chimes from grandfather clocks always remind me of him and puts a smile on my face. I think my uncle ended up with the clock after my grandpa passed away and I miss hearing it. I’m not sure how he moved it into his house, but you can read more information on how to move a grandfather clock by going here. One day I will have my own and it will go in my living room just like my grandpa. I'd probably pick one like this, but I'll have to wait and see which one fits best in my new home when the time comes.

I feel icky

I woke up so sick this morning probably from the cookies and sherbet I ate yesterday. I'm hoping it's a good sign but it could be wishful thinking. I slept through classes because I couldn't pull myself out of bed. I think all of the stress of moving and trying to study for my big anatomy and physiology test on Friday is starting to get to me. We have started packing but there's still a lot to do. I hate that I have to throw everything into boxes instead of looking through it all and purging. Maybe when we unpack I'll have the time. Yeah right. Sorry I haven't been around to blogs this week, things are a bit crazy.

Sproose - PPP

Have you ever used a search engine where you typed in something and the results brought up a list of things you didn’t want? I’ve done this and it’s frustrating. I wonder why when I meant one thing, I got something completely different. So when I found out about sproose.com that allows you to vote for your favorite websites which in turn influences their index ranking of results, I was thrilled. So I can vote time and time again for a particular website and Sproose will move that website up in their index. So click here to try sproose and see for yourself!

He's trying to be *helpful*

This semester I'm taking an online medical terminology class. Along with a book, I have a bunch of flash cards. Earlier today I was studying my cards by reading the words and then memorizing the definitions. I then handed them over to my husband and asked him to quiz me. So what does he do? He shows me the definition and expected me to remember the word. *Insert eyes popping out of head smiley* I told him I haven't learned them that way yet. He so graciously laughs and tells me he's *helping* me. Whatever. I think he was trying to be a stinker. ;)

MyWallSt.net - PPP

I’ll admit it; I have almost zero knowledge and experience when it comes to picking out stocks. When I was in high school, one of my classes was economics and I did learn a few things about the stock market. Most of which I have cannot remember, but I did learn something at the time! lol Early in my marriage, my husband and I had friends that would always tells us about their stocks and how well or not so well they were doing. I remember conversations about how to buy low and sell high and the importance of doing that. But really, after all of this I’m still pretty clueless. The stock market has yet to really intrigue me. That and not having the money to invest right now is another reason. But when the time does come, and I know it will, I’m going to have to remember to check out MyWallSt.net. This website provides a social network for people like me who are learning about investing. Having people who know what they are doing can provide valuable support to any inexperienced investor. You’ll find out things like the stock market having a learning curve, something I didn’t know about. I liked mywallst.net because it was easy for me to browse and it’s all free.

Love Letters to a Child

Over at Our Seven Qtpies, there is a giveaway for what sounds like a great book, Love Letters to a Child: A Resource For Parents and Grandparents. What intrigues me so much about this book is that it can help you become closer with your children. The idea of writing a love letter in a journal for my girls sounds like something I would really like to do. This book will be autographed and the last day to enter the giveaway is October 14th. I'm excited. :)

Our wonderful bodies

I honestly believe that Heavenly Father knew what He was doing when He made our bodies. The human body is incredibly fascinating and my anatomy and physiology class teaches me everyday about all of it's abilities. Everything is connected perfectly and works together in just the right way. Every nook and cranny fits and parts you look at and think are strange are actually needed too. My mind has been blown away by the little information I've learned so far and it's not even a fraction of what our bodies can do.

We only get one amazing body. It's perfect in it's own unique way. Take care of it, be thankful for it, enjoy it. Most of us are bound to see flaws but you know, things could be worse. Be grateful for what you have because God made it for you. He doesn't make mistakes, He makes individuals.

Lampshades - PPP

I remember a few years back when a friend of mine had her first baby. Apparently her inlaws picked up some furniture for my friend thinking they needed it. They ended up buying some ugly lamps each one with a lampshade my friend did not like. Who goes out and buys things like that without first checking to see if the person even likes them? If you’re like this, next time, tell yourself that people like to pick out their own lamps and their own lampshades. It just makes life easier.

A quick quack

What do you do when you have a blah moment? Right now I'm having that kind of moment and I'm trying to decide what to do. I could work on more homework. I could start packing. I could clean my stove. I could take a bath. I could eat some yummy sherbet. Actually, I think I will eat some sherbet. Then maybe take a bath. Then work on homework. The rest I can do another day. lol

Pick me!!

"Ohhh I wish I had a Dy-son vac-uum. Cuz' that is really what I want to have! Cuz' if I had a pink Dyson vacuum, then everyone would really love me."

Hmm, putting that to the Oscar Meyer Weiner song didn't work as well as I had hoped. But I still want a Dyson! 5 Minutes for Mom is giving one away and I can't tell you how bad I want this. It's like someone is dangling a piece of freshly dutch oven cooked peach cobbler in front of me and I'm just out of reach. Maybe if I sung my song again...

Anyway, if you want to join in the giveaway, go check this out. Dyson is going to donate $40 from each sale of this limited edition pink vacuum to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I really admire that and I know the money will help out in a big way. Thank you so much Dyson!

LocalDemand.com - PPP

Pretty soon we’ll be moving and I will be able to put our stored away piano into our new place. I’m really excited but not so excited about finding someone to come tune it for me. I wish I could name my price and someone would come do it at that price. I just heard about www.LocalDemand.com that will do just that! If you have any type of work that needs to be done, post it on their website and people will place bids and you decide which one to take. This is also great if you’re looking for work because you can search for projects in your area. Sounds like a good idea to me.

A quick quack

Why do you think the bathrooms in my college have room numbers? Is the big sign that says "RESTROOMS" not big enough and students have to resort to a tiny number above the door? Maybe some students can only follow a map with numbers for locations? Are classes held in there? I don't have a class in the bathroom. Someone please explain this.

Gac Fruit - PPP

I don’t have enough fingers on both hands to count the number of times I’ve heard about using all natural products. We’ve all probably heard about them, but how often do you we actually use the products? The more I hear and the more I learn about using natural products the more I want to use in my everyday life. Recently I’ve even ordered some books on the topic so I can know what is better for my family and our bodies. I worry about all the chemicals that some company’s put in their products, especially the skin products. Do I really need all of those ingredients? Well if you’re like me and looking for something more natural to use, take a look at this R.G. Skin Revitalizer. This comes from the Gac fruit which is a fruit that is as large as a cantaloupe, bright red in color, and is in large quantities in Asia and Vietnam. Gac has beta-carotene that can help you boost your immune system and your skins cellular rejuvenation process. So who wouldn’t want that? To better protect your skin, take a look at this great product and decide for yourself and it’s sure to be of help to you.

The good and the bad

The good:
*My Friday classes seemed to go by quickly.
*We finally found out when and where we're moving.
*I had a fabulous night out with The Girls; Kara and Melissa. We went out for dinner, then to the mall, and then ice cream. It was SO much fun. I really need to do this weekly. :)
*We finished up running errands.
*I spent time with my hubby and children.

The bad:
*Went to bed way to late, two days in a row.
*Fried many brain cells trying to study.
*Did not do well on 3 quizzes.
*I think I'm starting to gain weight because I'm not running as often.
*I have to pack. Again.

Trustedplaces.com - PPP

One of the places my husband and I would love to tour, is London. Who doesn't want to go there? Well we do but the only problem I would have is knowing what good places there are to go and see. I'd also want to know about the yummy London restaurants because I would hate to eat some place where the food tasted awful. Dining is part of the cultural experience right? So I'd definitely want to make the most of my trip and trustedplaces.com will help me do that by telling me about all the great places to visit.

This is snifty

Go check out my husband's blog. He linked to the neatest article and I thought it was a fascinating read. Make sure you look through all of the pictures, they are pretty cool. I had no idea we had caves like this. I love that my husband is majoring in Geology so he can tell me about things like this. :D

Pain Relief

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

You know how sometimes after a long sleepless night, you wake up with the worst crick in your neck? That happened to me this morning and oh boy was it painful! I can usually roll my neck and get it to pop which loosens it up a little. But not today, it made it worse. I was trying to think of what to do then realized I had some Freeze It to put on. As you can see from the picture above, it went right on the back of neck while I was at my computer blogging. Oh it felt so good and the pain subsided quickly! I love Freeze it! The smell isn’t overpowering and my fingers didn’t feel greasy after putting it on. I’m not the only person who loves this stuff either, my husband really likes it too. His back and neck usually hurt him so we’ve put this on both which helps relax him and he feels so much better. We’ve tried the product Icy Hot before, but when you compare it with Freeze It, Freeze It gets our vote. It’s just an overall great product and we’ve seen first hand the fast results after using it.

I love a good deal

Today we headed to Kmart and we totally scored on toys for Christmas! In one part of the store they had 50% off the regularly 50% off items. Who could pass that up?? So we searched through all the toys and found a few that were as low as $0.75. The savings from today alone are really going to help. That and the few things we have left to buy the day after Thanksgiving. You know what's interesting? We've never actually shopped this early for Christmas, but this year we've been shopping since June. Strange! But hey, when you find a good deal, it's all worth it. :)

Smart Holiday Shopping

Just today, my husband and I were talking about cyber monday and shopping on Black Friday. We are all probably well familiar with the day after Thanksgiving shopping and how crazy it can be. I wasn’t until just a few years but since then I love going. I love all the great deals and I love seeing how much money I save by going. Now some people just blow a ton of money on shopping for Christmas presents. I am not one of these people. Ok I admit, I used to be one of those people but not now that I have a family. We have a Christmas budget and I try to stick to it or just under it. This is the main reason why I shop the day after Thanksgiving. The only downside to shopping then, is of course the waking up really early and waiting in line. Not finding a shopping cart can be a pain too, but mostly the waiting in line is hardest part. But through black-friday.net you don’t have the hassle of waiting in line or getting up early. They have all the deals and sales you need right at your fingertips. I’d love to shop and get some fantastic Target deals, and now I can. This will save you time and money!

Blog Awards

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I'm also behind on some blogging awards that were given to me. The first one comes from Kara and Mama Pajama who both so graciously think I'm a blogging star. Thanks ladies, you totally made my day! Here are a few people I think deserve this Blogging Star Award also:

Lei
Richard
Stacey

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Kara also gave me this Nice Matters Award. She is so sweet! I wish everyone knew her in person because she is amazing! This award is for those bloggers who are nice people, good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. So here are some nice people I know:

Mimo - is one of the most genuinely sincere individuals I have ever come to know. She also has an incredible amount of talent when it comes to photography.
Beth - she understands my quirky sense of humor and always has something nice to say on my blog.
Kate - I admire that her heart is always in the right spot and that how she is willing to do anything for someone else.

Costumes - PPP

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

When I was a child and Halloween came around, I always loved to dress up as an angel. Every year I was the angel and I loved it. But like many people, as I became older I stopped dressing up for Halloween and I didn’t go to costume parties. That was until just recently when my little family was invited to a Harry Potter party. We had so much fun dressing up to go. The above picture shows my girls dresses as mandrakes. I loved their costume more than my own and they were so cute! Kid costumes alone are adorable but I loved the fact that we made these from scratch and they turned out pretty well. My husband and I were Muggles dressed up as wizards. Now our costumes didn’t take too much creativity but we still had to come up with it. I would have much preferred just buying a costume, like one from Star Costumes. They have an Online Halloween Costume Contest where you can draw, take a picture, or video your best costume and you could win one of three great prizes! I’m sure our mandrakes aren’t the only creative costumes out there, so be sure to add yours to the contest and you just might win!

5 Best Nights

I'm really overdo with this Meme, but here it is. Thanks Mama Pajama for the tag!

Night #1: My husband proposing to me in front of the Salt Lake Temple with a beautiful ring. Then taking me to dinner at a very expensive restaurant with delicious food. It was such a wonderful day!!

Night #2: The birth of both of my children have to be included in this list. I loved bringing them into this world and they have been a joy ever since.

Night #3: Going to Seattle on the spur of the moment. My husband and I were in dire need of a vacation, so we just up and left one day and headed to Washington. I loved that it was so spontaneous and we had a lot of un.

Night #4: Seeing the ocean for the first time on our honeymoon. I was so excited, it was beautiful! I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing it.

Night #5: The day my husband came home from being out of the country for two weeks. The girls and I missed him so much because we'd never been apart for that long. It was a great reunion!

Ok, the 5 people I'm going to tag to do this are: Stacey, Gina, Beth, Katie, and Natalie.

Gossip Girl - PPP

When you first see my blog, you may wonder what on earth this girl with the ducks talks about. Well, I talk about a whole slew of things ranging from my personal life, friends, school, our society. Pretty much I talk about what ever I want, when I want. This is about the basics when it comes to blogs. When something bad happens, you are bound to find bloggers talking about it because well, most people like good gossip. I’m not one to gossip per se, about bad things. I do try to keep people informed about issues whether personal or public. Sometimes the only way I know someone needs something is through gossip from someone else. Well this whole idea will soon be on TV, called Gossip Girl on The CW. The season premier is next Wednesday, the 19th. One of the show’s creators is the same who did The O.C., Josh Schwartz. This show is bound to involve many mishaps, some probably intentional, along with a how you can get into a lot of trouble by posting gossip online. If you are interested in this, remember to catch the first episode September 19th, it is just around the corner!

A Quick Quack

My oldest has two new favorite phrases that just kill me. Her first and my favorite, is "are you kidding me!" along with a quizzical expression and hands out. She probably picked this one up from me, but she is much cuter. I love when she says it to her younger sister. LOL

Her second phrase is "Mommy, can I ask you a question?" then she proceeds to hand me something. I don't think she's grasped the concept of question-asking but it makes me smile nonetheless. :)

Famundo - PPP

I am almost positive that if I have any more children, my brain may overload. I have a hard enough time remembering what I had for breakfast let alone which child has an appointment which day. Now I consider myself a pretty organized person, but I have my moments, especially if I’m in a rush. Like this past weekend, I wrote something down on the calendar, something else on a small piece of paper in the diaper bag, and whole bunch of other things that were logged away in my brain. What I really need is help from Famundo to get better organized. Through them, I can get rid of my calendar and the millions of little notes I’ve created. What’s even better is that you can download Famundo for Families absolutely free. So sign me up!

Little Ian

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I want to tell you a little about a wonderful family I know, the Pearson's. They are a cute little family with two children. This year particularly has been a rough one for them. They had their second child, a little boy earlier this year. Sadly he needed heart surgery soon after birth. He's had a lot of good days since then but he still has some problems. Right now he's back in the hospital and may need more surgery and possibly a heart transplant. You can read updates on Ian by going here.

Everything this sweet family has been going through has touched and broken my heart. I cannot fathom the emotional rollercoaster ride they've been on. So I wanted to make the above banner (with help from Kara - thank you!) and let people know about the Pearson's situation.

You are more than welcome to use the banner on your own website. Feel free to stop over at their blog and offer your support too. I know they would appreciate it.

Ian and family, we love you! *HUGS*

Instructional Sports Guide - PPP

I’m glad I started playing sports at a young age. The first time on a team, I was in sixth grade and played girls basketball. I wasn’t a very good player but I had a lot of fun. In the beginning, I had zero idea how to play basketball. I could throw the ball and I could run, but when it came to the rules I was clueless. Now that I look back on it, I probably looked pretty funny running around with a confused looked on my face. lol It would have been really nice to have an instructional guide for sports to look at. With more than 500 free videos to help kids learn key points in sports, Playsportstv.com can really help you. They also have sportsmanship and sports parenting information to help parents be a role model for their kids. I like that this website has blogs you can visit for tips and advice. This would have been great for me when I was younger and it probably would have helped my mom too. Playsportstv.com doesn’t just have the big sports like basketball and baseball, they also have information for lacrosse, skateboarding, and gymnastics. I like the layout and look of the webpage and I will be back for more information, especially as my own children get older and participate in sports.

There comes a time

When you have to realize that you can only do so much without going insane. No one likes an insane student/wife/mommy. So my latest realization has been about my class schedule. My plan was to take 12 credits this semester and 13 next. With the type of classes I have this semester alone this won't work. So I dropped a class and now have 9 credits. I figured that in 4 years I could have a bachelor's degree and be licensed physical therapy assistant. But that meant a lot of stress and more time than I have. So my focus right now is going to be becoming a PTA and not worry about a bachelors. I think this will be the best thing for me and my family even though it was a hard decision to make.

WeightLoss Surgery - PPP

When it comes to being overweight, I know how hard it can be for some people. I'm not the smallest person in the world and some days, I can feel pretty down about my weight. Diet and exercise alone is not the answer for everyone. For some, obesity surgery may be their only answer. With help from JourneyLite, you will know if the Lap-Band system is what you need, get help finding a surgeon, and receive follow-up care. For more information, take a look at their website.

Stop and Think Sunday

One of the many great things about going to church on Sunday for me, is a lesson that makes me stop and think. Today I heard one such lesson. The topic was that of chastity and how it can almost make or break your marriage. The isn't always an easy topic to discuss but I really enjoyed it. Many discussions came about as the lesson went on.

One in particular has me thinking. The discussion turned to "what is love" and "what can we do to help our husbands." One woman mentioned a story told to her by her father. He was speaking with a husband who was having problems with pornography. He first asked the man "do you love your wife?" The husband's reply was "of course I do. I love how she makes me a better me. I love that she helps keep our home clean" and so on. The father told the man that that was not love. Instead he called him a leach. Now at first I wasn't following the story and wondered what a leech had to do with love. lol But this girl went on to say this.

Her dad told this gentleman that he sucked everything out of his wife. She did everything for him and he did nothing. He told the man to picture himself on a big swing and as the swing went higher he could see the most spectacular view. The higher he went, the more spectacular it was. He told this man that he needed to get off the swing and put his wife on it and swing her as high as she could possibly go.

I love this story. I love it because how often are we selfish as husbands and wives? When asked today what can we do for our husbands, I responded by saying "ask yourself that question everyday." I know that by doing this, you will see a great improvement in your relationship. I see it in my relationship with my husband. Some days I'm not very good at putting him first, but I continue to try. I love my husband and he's worth it. Our marriage is eternal and I want to keep it that way.

So my stop and think moment for today: is it worth more to be selfish or selfless?

Chicco Strollers

I've just heard about Chicco USA giving away a stroller-a-day for 30 days. All you have to do is take a short survey to be entered, so I signed up. One thing I love about the Chicco strollers is that they are lightweight. My current one is really heavy and one of the wheels just broke on it so I need a new one anyway.

Well at Ordinary Mom, she's also giving away a Chicco stroller, so your chances of winning are even better! I could really use a new one. Seriously, you don't want to know how much money we've put out for schooling for my husband and I on this semester alone. Not to mention regular bills. For once, I'd like to win something instead of having to pay for it. lol

"Stroller Me Baby" by Michelle

My stroller, my stroller
Has bit the dust,
My stroller, my stroller
Has all but gone bust.

This duck needs a new one
To keep her ducklings in tow,
So I hope I can win
This great stow and go.

Kilts - PPP

I love learning about different cultures and their history. Scottish culture is no different; I find it fascinating. I know most people usually think of kilt wearing, when they hear the word Scottish. You may not wear one, but I would. I think you’re a pretty secure person to wear Scottish kilts. The heritageofscotland.com has a whole slew of kilts you can choose from if you would want one. They even have a baby’s first kilt you can buy which is really cute! I love how easy it is to access their site and I love that they have pictures for everything they offer. So take a look around!

What is the world coming to

This morning we had a downpour of rainfall. All of the college students were drenched walking from class to class. As the rain was pouring down, something bewildering happened. I found that the soon to be chemists, nuclear engineers, biologists, dentists, dr's, geologists etc. were afraid to walk through the puddles. Yes, you read that right. At every puddle, there were a group of students looking confused by how they would ever get to class with a puddle in their way.

Oh. My. Word. It was really sad. We were already soaked, what was another inch of water going to do? Not to mention, the soles on shoes are usually thicker than the puddles that stumped my fellow classmates. So naturally I stomped right through, splashing and laughing all the way.

Just because we're in college doesn't mean we can't be kids at heart. Geez, it's just a puddle. lol

Home Improvements - PPP

When it comes to the little things with home improvement, my husband or I usually take care of it. But when it comes to things like windows, or doors, or putting in a Conservatory, we leave those things to the experts. Angelian is a renown company in the UK and with their expertise, you're going to love what they can do for you. Be sure to look them up the next time you have home improvements to do.

Quick note

Now that school is in full swing, I won't be on the computer as much. I will keep my blog updated so I can continue to do PPP's but I won't be able to get to all of my blogging friend's blogs on a regular basis. So please know you're not being overlooked, I will get to you. Probably not all of your posts, but I will be sure to comment when I can. Thanks for always stopping by my blog and reading what I have to say! It's nice to know people like to keep coming back. :)

eSign - PPP

You know, there are some days when I get tired of signing my name over and over again. Now with eSign, they can make this process easier for you. Instead of writing your name a million times you can do one of three options; click on an agreement, use an electronic signature pad, or you can sign you name right on the screen using a digital pen. I would love to be able to do this! This would come in particularly handy when signing papers for a mortgage. With electronic mortgage signing you would spend half the time it normally would take you at the time of closing. So to me, that's more time in my new home instead of at the bank!

Loving our new bed

I don't know how I slept without a king sized bed. I love the extra room! I can sprawl out without my husband feeling like he's being kicked out of bed. He likes that too. ;) I love that when one person moves, the other person can't feel it very much. (You've seen the bowling ball and bowling pin on the mattress commercials right? Our bed is just like that, except we don't drop bowling balls on it.) I love that when you're on the edge, it's reinforced so you don't feel like you're going to roll off. I just love it! You would too, but you will have to buy your own because I hog mine. lol

Night Guard - PPP

My eldest daughter used to grind her teeth her off and on and sometimes during the night. At first I was worried about it because I know that it can lead to what's called Bruxism, but thankfully she doesn't do it anymore. If you're looking for more information about Night Guard, TMJ, Bruxism, Tooth Grinding, NightGuard, take a moment to look at dentekoralcare.com. They have a night guard that helps protect your teeth while you're sleeping. Teeth grinding is not something to be left alone, so make sure you take care of it early on.

Sluggish day

I've been asked more than once today what I'm doing fun for the holiday. My response, "nothing." lol My family and I are all sick and I have homework waiting for me. I don't want to do anything except curl up into a ball and watch a good movie. I have managed to fold some laundry, stack the dishes, and balance my checking account. Other than that I'm feeling awfully sloth-ish. I hope we're feeling better before we have to go back to school tomorrow. I am grateful we were sick this particular weekend. The extra day to recover has really been nice. :)

So since we're not doing anything fun, is anyone else?

Need Binoculars? - PPP

On our most recent camping trip, there was a spot we find not too far from camp where we could overlook the city. It was really beautiful and I was glad we had our camera to snap some pictures. The only other thing I wished I had with me was a pair of binoculars to see all the nature around us in more detail. Binoculars are great for a variety of occasions. Whether you want a pair for camping like I did, or if you need a pair of good hunting binoculars, OpticsPlanet.net has what you’re looking for. Next time we go camping, I hope to have a pair handy.

My first 5k

I'm really glad I participated in our local 5k run this year. Perhaps one day I can run alongside those who ran the 10k, half marathon, and full marathon. I saw 70+ aged adults running and wow, I admired them! One day I hope to accomplish what they did. :)

The race started off really well. Next time I will be sure to pace myself more at the beginning instead of bolting out of the starting line like everyone else. The course wasn't surprising because we've been running on it the last few weeks. But we had not trained in the heat so that was a challenge.

Overall, I enjoyed myself. It was really neat to have my husband and girls at the finish line and my mom too. I finished 9th in my age group out of 15, which isn't too shabby. Kara took 3rd place in our age group which is AWESOME, so go over to her blog and congratulate her!!

I loved this whole experience and I'm going to keep up with my running to better improve myself. I've lost almost 15 lbs over the last three months and I'm feeling better than I ever have before in my life. Anyone can do this, ANYONE. Three months ago, three friends got together and had trouble running 60 seconds. Now they can run 3.11 miles without stopping. If we could do it, you can too. :)

Spa Covers - PPP

House hunting is one of my favorite things to do. I love to look at prices in each area and how they compare to other areas. I really like finding things that I would want in my own house one day. As of yet, I haven’t found the home of my dreams, but I keep looking because I couldn’t buy a house right now anyway. lol A few things I look for when house hunting, is a brick house with a mature yard, a deck, and a garage. Those are the outside features only, but I’d love to have all four with my first home purchase. Some homes I’ve seen even include a hot tub which would be wonderful! My husband would especially like this feature because he loves to sit in the hot springs near us and to have our own hot tub would be really convenient. Of course if we had a hot tub, we’d need a hot tub cover. Having a hot tub cover or Spa Cover is really important. I’ve seen some without and that’s just gross; so we’d for sure get one. The Cover Guy is the #1 hot tub and spa cover company in its industry. Each cover is at wholesale cost and will withstand harsh weather conditions. With the best possible materials and a 5 year warranty, The Cover Guy is hard to beat! So whether you already own a hot tub or plan on owning one soon, be sure to look them up if you need a new cover or a replacement. Along with the
