A quick quack
You know you're tired when you go into a public restroom, walk into one of the stalls, get ready to sit down, and then realize your stall door is still wide open. Talk about a wake up call. I'm thinking I should go to bed earlier.

Why did it have to be a cute rat?
I thought we were looking at cadavers today. No, we ended up with rats and their uterus. Joy. I didn't even know that rats could be cute, but the ones today were. I loved that my teacher said they were euthanized right before class. Joy. He then proceeded to walk over to my group and hand me the rat. He was to my right and I was leaning as far left as I possibly could go. Are you kidding me?? There's no way I could dissect anything that used to be living! Ugh. I quickly handed the fluffy rat over to a classmate. Cutting through the skin and the cutting out of the uterus made my stomach curl. And what was the whole point of this lab you ask? The uterus is a smooth muscle and we were testing to see how it reacted to having drugs in it's system. Pure joy. I *think* today was the last time we looked at something dead, at least I hope so. If not, be sure to check back next Monday to see what else we've done. I know how much everyone loves reading about my anatomy and physiology lab activities. lol
Help your bad credit
If you have bad credit and worry you may never get it right again, you no longer need to worry. The problem with bad credit is that it makes you eligible for bad credit loans, the ones with really high interest rates. The good thing about badcreditoffers.com is that you can come these types of lines and find the right one for you to start reestablishing your credit again. With time, you will too.

How to get rid of a choo choo
Right behind us is a railroad track and when the train comes by, the whole apartment shakes. It's not so bad that things fall off the wall, but enough that you can feel the vibration. It doesn't bother me most of the time, only when it blares its horn during naptime and bedtime. The girls have never been bothered by it until one day they didn't hear it and then it blared its horn right outside their window and scared them to death. Ever since, our youngest has been terrified. If she hears it during nap time, she won't go back to sleep, which is a pain. Or if she hears it in the middle of the night, she won't calm down until we pick her up and watch as it goes by.
I feel bad, I wish I could do something so it didn't scare her so much. I'm more annoyed that the trains honk their horn repeatedly over and over in the wee hours of the morning. Maybe they think because they're up, we should be too. Yeah, tell that to a sleep deprived parent and see how cheerful they are. Is there a rule they have to follow about how much to blow their horn? I don't mind during the day, I just don't like how often it happens at night. I should probably call and ask because it's getting worse. Hopefully I don't talk to one of the drivers. ;)

Clocks With History
A home is not a home, without a special clock. In my home, we have six clocks and I wouldn’t want to give up any of them. Each clock has a meaning and history that comes with it which is why we hold on to them. Clocks don’t just tell time, they tell a story. Like the one in our kitchen. My husband made it years ago for one of his sisters. She ended up returning it to him because it didn’t match the décor in her home. I love the clock because my husband put so many hours into it and he made it completely from scratch. We have another clock that we bought one year for our anniversary. It’s beautiful and I love to hear it chime. But I’m missing one clock. I would love to be able to say that I owned grandfather clocks. I want one that would be almost as tall as the ceiling and in a rich, dark brown color. I would place in it a corner in my living room so I could sit and listen to it chime. I want my children to grow up and remember listening to the chimes throughout the day. Then when the time comes, I would give the clock to one of them. I see grandfather clocks as a part of heritage thanks to my grandfather who owned one. I love them and want to own one someday. If you would like more information on grandfather clocks, be sure to check out this blog.

Halloween fun!

I'm so proud of this dessert we made for our ward Halloween party. I think it turned out really well. I got the idea from here. It took awhile to make and it didn't taste delicious (it was ok) but, it was fun none the less. We placed second in the dessert contest and the girls won a prize for one of the best kid costumes. I tried to place in the doughnut eating contest, but no such luck. I need a bigger mouth. lol It was a fun night and we ended up with enough candy to last a long time.
Dancing Like the Stars From Home!
I admit I’m not good, but I love to dance. Only in private of course, or in front of my children who don’t care what I do. lol I’ve been wanting to sign up for a dance class at school. Maybe ballroom dance or swing, but I haven’t been able to fit it in yet. Richard and I want to take ballroom together, so hopefully soon we can do that. Dancing can be so much fun, especially if you do it as a couple. What better way to improve the relationship right? :) It can be hard to figure out schedules and find a place that will give you lessons for a fair price. Sometimes I think it would be easier to just order movies and practice watching those. I can do that at DanceCrazy.com They have instructional videos for salsa, the Cha Cha Cha, ballroom, Rumba, Foxtrot, swing and more! This may be the only way I will get a chance to learn how to really dance.
I need to invest in a plastic floorcloth
What, you've never heard of one? Well I need one, so maybe I will make it myself. Why kids think it's so funny to throw food on the floor, I may never know. So I figure if I have a plastic floorcloth, similar to a tablecloth, I could use that instead of having to mop and sweep. That seems logical enough right? A daily wash down seems easier than pulling the broom, dustpan, mop, and bucket out. Yet another reason I miss our dog; she was so good about "cleaning" the floor for me. She would eat the big pieces so you really couldn't tell it was that dirty. lol
Anyone else in need of a floorcloth or is it a hopeless cause?

Kitchen Furniture
I love looking at furniture, especially kitchen furniture. If you’re the same way, check out this counter height dinette set. I LOVE these! Our table is so short that my husband and I usually end up hitting our knees on it. I love the selection this company has to offer because I would buy from them. They have what I’m looking for! Now if only I had the money to go along with it. :)
A movie you would enjoy!
Last night my husband and I went and saw the movie "The Game Plan." It has The Rock in it and he's a professional football player on top of his game. Then he finds out he has a daughter he never knew about and tries adjusting to being a dad and playing football.
This was the cleanest movie and it's rare to find those! There was one part that was strange, but I can't remember what it was. This movie may not sound great at first glance, but it's so good! It's one we are going to buy because we really enjoyed it. The Rock is a great actor and he really made the movie a steal. If you see it, let me know!

Delta Faucets
I do not like the faucets in our apartment. Yes, they do work and I am thankful for that. But they’re cheap and you can tell. When we buy a home I want to have pretty faucets but not so fancy no one wants to touch them. I don’t like the really tall ones either. Those make the biggest mess! Water hits your hand and sprays everywhere. So I see that as more of a pain than anything. lol I don’t mind the chrome look, but gold might be kind of fun to play with. Either way, if I was in the market for a faucet, I would look at a Delta faucet. I like their selection and their price and those are big things for me when I shop anywhere.
Long day and almost out of ice cream
7:00am - I woke up to my oldest telling me she had to go to the bathroom. She ran in there and ended up having an accident on the floor.
7:05am - Cleaned up and disinfected the floor.
7:10am - Went to get the now awake younger daughter out of bed.
7:11am - Noticed younger daughter has come out of her diaper and has peed all over the place.
7:12am - Stuck two girls and mommy in the shower.
7:25am - Two girls and daddy eat breakfast while mommy tries to get ready.
8:00am - Start dessert for ward party later.
9:00am - The twin girls we are to babysit today, show up.
9:45am - Friend shows up to study for test.
3:30pm - Take test and find out it's nothing like it should be.
4:00pm - Finish test and take four girls, ages 3 and under, outside to play, by myself.
5:00pm - Try to finish dessert for ward party.
6:00pm - Leave for ward party and watch as girls prefer eating the bread instead of candy (but that came later.)
9:00pm - Put girls to bed.
9:20pm - Try to think straight.

Belated blog awards
It seems like I've been behind on everything lately and my blog is no different. Here are some awards that were so graciously given to me!
Th first, the Egels Nest Award, came from Stacey almost a month ago. (Sorry!) I'm going to pass this on to: Gina and Our Seven Qtpies.
The second award came from Mama Pajama awhile back too. This award "celebrates people who reach out and make the blogger community a better one." You are so kind to think so! So the people that I've tagged, I think they also make the blogger community a better place: Lorie, Beth, and Mimo.
Sales Training
Every job I’ve had, I also wished that I was in a higher position. I like moving up in the ranks and being able to do more than just the mediocre requirement. I know some people would prefer staying where they are, but I like change and welcome it when it comes. In a business setting though, it’s hard to know how to move up or how to improve the business without some sort of sales training; at least with all the jobs I’ve had. Now there is Sales Training
I am like ice today
I don't know what my deal is today, but I cannot seem to stay warm. It's not freezing outside or anything, but yet I'm in a sweater. This morning I even had some hot chocolate! I think I may be coming down with something. I hope I'm not sick. I hate having to go anywhere when I'm sick and I have to go to school. It could be the change in weather that's throwing me off. I'll hope it's just that. Does anyone else get affected by the change in weather?

Spock.com
My latest “addiction,” if you will, has been to watch the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman series. Every few days I’m anxiously watching for the mailman to see if he has brought me my movies. I loved the show growing up and I have enjoyed watching them again. My husband calls it getting my Dr. Quinn fix. lol What can I say! I love Jane Seymour as an actress, she is so phenomenal. Joe Lando is also perfect in his role as co-star of the show. It’s just a really amazing series! Well since I’ve been watching them so much, I’ve looked into what the actors and actresses are doing today. If you watch Dancing With the Stars, Jane Seymour is on there and she’s amazing! I didn’t even know she was on the show until I looked up some information about her online. That’s why I love the internet, you have everything within reach with a touch of a button. It’s fun to do a people search and see what you come up with. The above picture is what I found when I typed in Jane Seymour. There were so many people that came up under that name. It was fun to look through the list and read the information about each one. I typed in my own name, at Spock.com, and found two people with the same name but in different states. How neat is that? If you’re not sure of the person’s name, you can type in something like their hair color or where they live and with those tags you can try to find them. Become a member, and you can create your own tags too. I had some fun typing in names and seeing what came up and you probably will too. Type in your own name and see what you come up with.

Today I'm thankful for yummy breakfast cereal. I've been tired of eating the sugary kinds, although they are yummy, but I needed a change. So yesterday I bought Special K Red Berries. They were yummy this morning! I should eat healthy once in awhile right? ;)

Garages
Before our last move, we were hoping to move to a different part of town. That didn’t work out so we just found a bigger apartment. The place we had really wanted was so nice though! The best part was it had a garage. Richard and I would love our own garage. This particular one was attached to the apartment but I wouldn’t mind choosing from Sectional Garages. These garages are from the company named Liget. They may not be your normal looking garages, but they would work. I would just love to have a garage so I don’t have to scrape the frost off my windows in the morning. :)

Rejuvenate Your Skin
My skin needs some help, seriously. I wash it and once in awhile put lotion on, but that’s usually it. I think it’s starting to show, especially where I don’t normally wear any makeup. I’m glad my husband doesn’t mind too much, but it’s starting to bother me. I just received a sample of face cleaner in the mall so I’m going to use that and hope it helps a little. I have also heard about R.G. Skin Revitalizer that sounds really promising. It’s a dietary supplement that comes from the tropical superfruit Gac. It has antioxidants in it that helps nourish your skin from the inside to the outside. Because let’s face it (no pun intended), sometimes just working with the surface of skin doesn’t always do the trick. Not only does it have antioxidants but also beta-carotene that helps to build your immune system and rejuvenate your skin at the cellular level. This fruit is as large as a cantaloupe and grows in abundance in

Pleasure Beach
A few posts ago, I mentioned the Theme Park
Busy morning
The girls were in a good mood as was I, so we decided to take the morning and tackle a few things I kept putting off. First was the laundry. I'm usually pretty good about it but haven't been in the mood lately. We had two baskets full of clean clothes ready to be put away and one hamper overflowing with dirty laundry. Finally everything has been put away and the dirty clothes are sorted. Which means my room looks nice and clean! Woohoo!
Our second project was the office. I put away a few more boxes and organized the ever consuming amount of clutter on it. I still need to file some papers and put a few things away but it's already starting to look better. Other than that I need to find a spot for the very last box we have to put away. The closets and storage room are full, so I don't know where it would go. Why does it have to be a big box? Maybe I will leave it for my husband to find a spot. Hee hee. :D

Monday Movie Review
I know it's been a very long time since I've done this. The list is really long but if you're looking for a good movie, maybe you will find one that sounds interesting. :) Click on any movie title to read more about it. (The only way we get to watch all of these is because of our free subscription to Netflix. We love it!)
"Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" - I watched this on TV growing up and loved it. So I've decided to watch all the episodes again. I'm into season two right now and I can't put them down! Brings back good memories. (Have you seen new pictures of the cast? It's amazing how much they've changed. I hardly recognized Sully, Joe Lando! You can go here to see.) 5 quacks.
"Batteries Not Included" - This is an older movie about a group of people who live in a part of town that used to be really popular but has now gone to the dumps. One businessman wants to renovate it, and tears down everything except one diner/apartment complex. Just when they lose hope of saving the diner, the people receive help from robotic aliens. I didn't think I would like the show, but it was cute. 3 quacks.
"Washington Square" - I completely forgot what this movie was about and had to look it up. You can tell I didn't like it much. lol It's about a girl who's very rich but also clumsy and not beautiful. A young man falls for her but is it for true love or her money? 2 quacks.
"Everything You Want" - This is a really cute chick flick. My mom and two neighbors watched it with me and we all loved it. Easy movie to get through. 4 quacks.
"Emma" - If you love Jane Austen like I do, you will like this movie. Enough said. :) 4 quacks.
"The Cat From Outer Space" - Another movie I didn't think I would like, but it wasn't too bad. The cat is from outer space but he's really intelligent. He seeks help to fix his ship so he can return home. There are some funny parts. 3 quacks.
"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" - I wanted to see this, but my husband got to it first and said it wasn't worth my time and a waste of his. lol 1 quack.
"Spirited Away" - We never could get into this one and ended up turning it off half way through. Apparently this comes from the Japanese original, so maybe if you had seen that you would like it. 1 quack.
"Daddy's Little Girls" - First, the swearing was horrible but I did like the rest of the movie. It's about a dad and his three girls. The mom is a quack (excuse the pun) and ends up taking his kids away. Their lives are terrible while living with her. The dad gets help from an amazing attorney and they fall in love. But things get really complicated. It's a touching movie about the relationship between a father and his daughters. 3 quacks.
"Paycheck" - Ben Affleck played a good role in this. He plays a man who gets paid to work on high security projects then has his memory erased so he doesn't tell anyone. His paychecks are really nice so he keeps it up until he gets a job that lasts three years. I didn't like the violence but I did like how he pieced together the three years he lost. 3 quacks.
"Akeelagh and the Bee" - An 11 year old girl, Akeelagh, can really spell. But with pressures from her peers, she doesn't want to develop her talent. With the help from a mentor, she ends up going to the National Spelling Bee. 4 quacks.
"The Notebook" - No, I had never seen this movie before. Some people might not like to hear me say this, but I didn't really care for it. There were some non g-rated parts and those always ruin a movie for me. I did like how the husband took care of his wife even though she didn't remember him and the ending was really good. So I give it that. :) 2 quacks.
"North and South" - My ABSOLUTE favorite movie out of this bunch. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!! It has a "Pride and Prejudice" air to it, but with many different aspects. It's almost four hours long and the first hour and a half is hard to get through, but the rest is so good! It's a little dark, meaning more fights and a few people get killed. But I loved it and want to buy it. SO GOOD! 5 quacks!!

More end of the month fun!
I look forward to the end of October because it’s Halloween and my girls love the holiday. We’re going to two parties this year, one with our church and another one with friends. I know it’s going to be a lot of fun! But when I think about the end of October, Halloween is the only thing I think of. I didn’t know that there were Events in
Anyone want to switch?
I should have asked sooner if someone wanted to switch lives just for the duration of my anatomy and physiology lab today. We're learning about muscles and today we looked at how the muscles in frog legs work when stimulated. You know, it might not have been that bad if my teacher hadn't popped the frog's head off first, then pulled the skin off the leg, and exposed and cut through some tendons so we could see the muscles and sciatic nerve.
I watched a little until I felt all the blood drain from my face and upper torso. I quickly sat down and tried to think of happy thoughts. It was disgusting. Two people did end up leaving. They were smart. My group brought our frog back to the table and played with it. Lucky me got to sit right next to the headless part of the frog. The only thing I did that helped was to play spider solitaire when we weren't working. My teacher didn't like that even though I tried to explain I only did it to take my mind off passing out. Oh well.
Next week we're back to working on cadavers. Switch me anyone? Anyone? I could just get pregnant, that would keep me away. I guess the likelihood of that is about the same as finding someone to switch places with me. lol

Save space
I was over at a neighbor’s the other day and she showed me that they put a board up over their stove. This freed up a lot of counter space and I loved the idea. So yesterday my husband put a shelf up above our stove and it’s so nice! We don’t have a utility cart for our microwave, so we put that up along with our sharp knives and the toaster. I would have never thought unless my friend showed me. It’s a great space saver!

Skin care
I had a friend over a few days ago who was telling me about some new skin and body care products she was going to start selling. I’d like to buy a few more products, like ones from Jane Iredale, for my own personal use but we just don’t have the money right now. My husband is sweet though and sometimes on my birthday or for Christmas, he will buy me some. He’s a good guy. :)
It's better to wait
You know, it’s so much easier to get into debt than it is to get out of it. It took my husband and I almost three years to pay off our credit cards and it wasn’t easy. We had to work really hard and I’m glad we did because we learned a valuable lesson. Not to spend money before we have it. It sounds super easy, but it can be really difficult when you want something right this minute. Just remember to be careful with personal debt or even business debt or you might hear from a commercial collection agency.

Football
I can remember the very first football game I ever went to. It was a college football game and it was BYU against Air Force I believe. My dad and I along with my aunt, uncle, and cousin all went to the game together. I was so pumped to be at my first game! I’d love to go to another football game, preferably an NFL game. If only I could get my hands on some Jets tickets or any other team for that matter. It would be so much fun!

Girl's Night
On our last girl’s night out, my friends and I hit the mall after grabbing a bite to eat. We browsed all the stores and but didn’t really buy anything. When we came to the lingerie section of one department store we had a few laughs. There were some sexy lingerie outfits and some really hideous ones in my opinion. It was fun to look around and point out different things we each liked, in that particular section and the others we walked through.
