While making dinner today, I was thinking about my skin, mainly my face. I know that may seem like an odd time to be thinking about such a thing, but none the less, I was. So there I was stirring and thinking about whether or not I would eventually have rolls of wrinkles all over my face. I know you can buy anti wrinkle cream but I wonder about their effectiveness. My mom is in her 60’s and she looks more like she was in her 40’s. I’m just hoping I end up like her, looking so young. If not, well that’s ok too. Just means I had an eventful life right? ;)

"Stirring" thoughts

New term for the day
I’ve heard of teeth whitening but never skin whitening. Am I just out of the loop and a lot of people know about this or is everyone else wondering too? My first thought was, “my skin is already pretty darn white, I’d prefer a tan instead of being even whiter!” lol But then I read more about skin whitening and all it means is that it gets rid of discolorations and makes your skin tone more even and beautiful. See, now that I wouldn’t mind! So, what did we learn today class? If we hear something strange, be sure to learn more about it before you judge it. :)

No pain no gain?
So I mentioned that my SIL is in town and how we wanted to get together to exercise. We had one week free gym memberships, so we've been using those this week to work out. The first day we ran a 5k and I didn't do too bad for not having run in two months. The second day we ran about two miles, lifted weights, and did an ab workout. It felt good to do, but today I'm feeling it. All those muscles I've been learning about this semester are feeling the love. lol It's been fun though and I find that I've really missed running. It's been a positive way for me to release some stress and frustration this week. One of these days it would be nice to have a gym membership all the time or even a personal trainer.

A home gym
A few weeks ago, I happened to stop by my brother’s house for a bit. He apparently has one of those home gyms and it looked really nice. Their gym was in a small room but it had everything you would need to do a full body workout. My husband would have been in heaven if he had seen it. One of these days I hope we can have our own.

I'm running out of time
My SIL will be here next week and I haven’t done any exercising since the last time she came. I remember back when we were looking at ellipticals I told myself that I was going to use it at least three times a week. I have been using it, just not as often because of homework and finals coming up. Only a few more days left of school and then my elliptical and I can become good friends again and hopefully I can keep up with my SIL.

A massage sounds really good
Since we've been sick this week, my muscles are all cramped up. I might take a nice hot bath later to relax in if I can. I’d rather use Massage Chairs to ease the pain but I don’t have a really nice one. My mom gave us one she had, that we have attached to our computer chair but sometimes it doesn’t do the trick. I really like the HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair from humantouch.com. This chair uses the Quad Roller System which includes techniques like percussion, rolling, compression, and kneading. Just reading about this chair makes me melt. Any really massage chair from humantouch.com would be very welcomed into my home!

Go away already
I've had the worst headache since three this afternoon. I usually get headaches from the problems I have with my neck, but the one today has been different. It feels like my head is swelling and full of pressure. My husband was kind enough to give me a good head massage and that helped. Hopefully I can sleep the rest off and start to feel better by tomorrow.

Rejuvenate Your Skin
My skin needs some help, seriously. I wash it and once in awhile put lotion on, but that’s usually it. I think it’s starting to show, especially where I don’t normally wear any makeup. I’m glad my husband doesn’t mind too much, but it’s starting to bother me. I just received a sample of face cleaner in the mall so I’m going to use that and hope it helps a little. I have also heard about R.G. Skin Revitalizer that sounds really promising. It’s a dietary supplement that comes from the tropical superfruit Gac. It has antioxidants in it that helps nourish your skin from the inside to the outside. Because let’s face it (no pun intended), sometimes just working with the surface of skin doesn’t always do the trick. Not only does it have antioxidants but also beta-carotene that helps to build your immune system and rejuvenate your skin at the cellular level. This fruit is as large as a cantaloupe and grows in abundance in

Skin care
I had a friend over a few days ago who was telling me about some new skin and body care products she was going to start selling. I’d like to buy a few more products, like ones from Jane Iredale, for my own personal use but we just don’t have the money right now. My husband is sweet though and sometimes on my birthday or for Christmas, he will buy me some. He’s a good guy. :)
